Gentle, Affordable Family Care

Dr. Wayne Hollar, DDS, uses crowns to cap a missing, cracked, worn down, weakened tooth or a tooth that has been through a root canal. Crowns can be made from several different materials such as porcelain, ceramic, composite resin, metal alloys, or a combination. Dr. Wayne Hollar, DDS, uses crowns that resemble natural teeth. Crowns make teeth stronger and can prevent further decay or deterioration.
In four easy steps but still in one simple visit, we can create and attach a custom crown for your tooth. After we scan the tooth, the CEREC software uses smart technology to design a crown to fit you. The milling and grinding process ensures smooth surface and edges. Then, we stain, glaze, and bond it to your tooth. This is all done chairside, and you are all set to go home.
The four types of dental bridges are traditional, cantilever, and Maryland. Dr. Wayne Hollar, DDS, installs all four kinds. Conventional and cantilever bridges are more common because they are the least invasive. Fake teeth are cemented on each side between your natural teeth via a crown and an abutment. A cantilever bridge resembles a traditional bridge, except the artificial tooth is only cemented on one side of the crown. A Maryland bridge consists of a porcelain or metal frame that holds the artificial tooth in place. The frame is mounted across and attached to the adjacent teeth.
Our goal is to provide safe, state-of-the-art care in a friendly environment.
We spend time educating our patients and their families so that they have
a comfortable understanding of their care and can actively participate in
treatment decisions. Our approach is conservative and multi-disciplinary,
often involving other specialists to provide optimum care.
Lord, be with me daily as I practice dentistry.
May I treat with gentle hands all who put their trust in me.
May my calm assurance help to ease their fears
To relax the tense adults and dry the children’s tears.
May I treat each patient with competence and skill,
Whether a difficult procedure or a tooth that I must fill.
As I diagnose and treat be with me all the while,
And reward me with my patient’s lovely, healthy smile.
Amen.
1. To educate myself to perform with greater ability.
2. To provide and promote the best treatment for my patients.
3. To treat my patients with continued dignity and empathy.
4. To share my knowledge with my patients and my profession.
5. To maintain my integrity and professionalism.
To my God...
the architect of the masticatory system.
The more I understand the logic behind its beautifully integrated design,
the more I realize its every element was planned by a loving creator.
The words of affection that we speak, the smiles we share,
the songs we sing, and the kisses we give to our loved ones
are possible only because an element of love
was integrated into this design.
